Anyone sick of velvet yet, NO! Good, because I won’t stop, and can’t stop buying velvet. Then again, I can’t stop buying sneakers, faux fur, or pom-pom beanies either. Hope everyone had a wonderful extended weekend. I hung around and drank way to much coffee. I am hooked on coffee with steamed milk and cinnamon. For New Years, my goal is to cut back on sugar and this seemed to help. If you have never tired it, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Back to the post, I purchased these Steve Madden booties last week and can not stop wearing them.
Steve Madden is killing it this season with the Edit and Holster booties. I own the edit in black, and have to say the sock bootie design makes for one sleek elongated leg (who doesn’t love that). Last week when I was doing my normal early morning on-line shopping, I came across the Holster in this dusty pink velvet, and I knew they were coming home with me! The heel is shorter then my Edit booties, which makes them great for every day wear. I should know, since I still choose to wear them daily while chasing around an over active 5 yr old.
The weather in Boston has been beautiful these past few days. I know the snow and freezing temperatures are coming back, but I was happy to wear layers with out a big bulky coat. This outfit is my go-to for most week days, minus a huge north face. If you love booties, velvet, or both, these need to be on your wish list! Thanks for reading. In case your wondering the whole cutting back on sugar thing is So much harder then I ever dreamed of. I bow down to anyone who doesn’t eat sugar, you deserve some sort of award in my book!
