Setting Goals for 2019

“She Designed a Life She Loved”

Hey, girls! So we are just over a week into 2019…How you doing?? Are you setting goals the year? Do you feel like your ready to kick butt this year or are you throwing in the towel and waiting for 2020 to roll around? I don’t know about you but I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty great year! Last year I did all the things; Built a house, planned a wedding, and gave birth to Madelyn all while trying to run this little place on the web…quite honestly, I’m exhausted!! This year will not be as jam packed (kinda happy about that) but I plan to make it the year I am ‘PRESENT’ in my marriage, with my children, and with my business.

Im not gonna lie…I have a pretty long list of goals for the new year! Why, because I am feeling very inspired to make this year my YEAR! The past few years I have done a blog post (here) on what I plan to accomplish in the year ahead and you guys really seemed to love it! It also helps me stay accountable as well as something to look back on.

So what BIG plans do I have for 2019

  1. Turning LLP into a LLC; Yup, its about that time. I have put so much of myself { blood, sweat & Tears} into this little hustle that I feel it’s time to take the leap. I want to be better about running LLP as a business and not just some side gig. This is how I contribute to my family and I know I am settling for less. Time to change my mind set a little to help LLP flourish this year.
  2. Drink More Water; I know, I literally make this goal every year but I feel like it’s such a good one! I feel more awake, my skin looks better and all the other amazing benefits that come along with it. Each year I start out great but tend to fall of the bandwagon rather quick.
  3. Weight Training; Say what? Weights intimidate me so I always just stick to what I do best….can you say CARDIO QUEEN? Getting back to the gym after Madelyn I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I am amazed how much stronger I already feel. I took some before photos and I will share (someday) once I give this whole new way of working out some time!
  4. Say YES More! For most people they are working on saying NO…not me! I always talk myself out of doing anything that disrupts my routine or is outside my comfort zone. It holds me back professionally & personally. You only live once and I have passed up quite a few amazing opportunities because I found some lame excuse why I couldn’t do it. This year I am saying YES to the things I want to do wether or not they make me a little nervous.
  5. Show More sides of myself; What does this mean exactly? Very often I find myself not posting something because it isn’t perfect! Re-recording stories bc I cracked a joke I think some might not get. Waiting till my makeup is one to hop on a talk with you all…I want to shows all sides of myself! The good, the bad, the ugly….and not soo perfect.
  6. Don’t be scared to hear NO; I always wait for a brand to reach out to me. I do this because then I know the brands think I’m worthy to collaborate with. Im scared of rejection, and fear that scary word NO. I might hear 20 no’s before I get that one yes! But that one yes is better than no yes at all – am I right! I know by doing this I am missing out on so many amazing opportunities. So let this be a reminder to not settle and don’t let anyone or NO hold you back from your dreams!

This year I focused on goals that where attainable and I feel will help me live a better more successful life. So far my year is off to a great start and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for me! This year my word is to be PRESENT…which can be extremely hard as a blogger because we can never take a day off or not be glued to our phones. I hope to be PRESENT as much as possible with my family, friends & of course with LLP. I have a feeling this is going to be the biggest year yet for me professionally and I’m so ready to see my hard work pay off! Cheers to 2019!
