Hey gals, can you believe we are a week from Thanksgiving and only a few weeks before Christmas? It is crazy how fast we get here. The next 5 weeks are hands down my favorite of the whole year. I just love the weeks leading up to Christmas. Thanksgiving is the perfect way to kick it off with amazing food, family, and shopping! So what will your Thanksgiving Day look be?
Personally, if I showed up in a dress my family would think I was crazy. They don’t dress up much at all and I am always getting the eye roll, “what are you wearing’! This outfit is the perfect Thanksgiving Day look for me. Now that I make a living from my love for fashion it has subsided a little but I prefer to be comfortable when I plan to overeat as much as I do on Thanksgiving. You can always count me in for a slice or 3 of pumpkin pie. My aunt makes a pecan pumpkin pie with bourbon caramel sauce – to die for!!
We make the rounds so something that is polished and pulled together is important. This sweater has such an expensive feel and looks much more dressy than many of my other sweaters. It’s available on Nordstrom for under $80 and would look perfect paired with a skirt or pixie pant for turkey day festivities.
I have talked about these leather leggings so many times. They fit amazing and help dress up a rather simple look. I recently purchased these velvet ones which would also pair perfectly with a fun top for the holiday. You can also swap out the OTK boot for a heel if you prefer. We spend a lot of time in the backyard playing football to burn off the extra calories so I will be tossing some sneakers in my bag!
Ok, now that I have my Thanksgiving Day look covered; I’m curious, do you girls like to shop Black Friday, Cyber Monday or both? I have never been to the mall the day after Thanksgiving. I like to shop on my couch. I have some more formal holiday looks coming next week and I am so excited to share. These looks here, here and here would also make great Thanksgiving day outfits.
