Sweater –Woodenships C/O | sandals -DV (similar)| Short – Abercrombie Hello all my LLP babes, can you believe I actually got two blog posts out this week! I could not wait any longer to show you guys this cute summer knit from Wooden ships. The summer itch is coming on strong, and I am sure the sand between my toes during this shoot didn’t help with that. We have waited long, and patiently, and I’m ready! To those of you who do not know, I live in Gloucester, Ma. However, we pronounce it GLOSTA! If you know Gloucester, then you understand my love for summer.
Memorial Day has always been the first real kick off to summer, and it is finally right around the corner. When Wooden Ships reached out to me about their Memorial Day collection I knew it was perfect for the summer days, and nights ahead. Living in Gloucester, since as young as I can remember my summer days were spent at the beach. These pictures were taken at Good Harbor beach, one of the biggest and personally prettiest beaches in Gloucester. My town comes alive in summer. We pretty much live for beaches, boats, fiesta and seafood. If you live in Gloucester it is safe to say your Italian or Portuguese. It is also safe to say you would miss Christmas before you missed a Fiesta in Gloucester. Fiesta is a 5 day festivial honoring the fisherman St. Peter. You honor, drink, celebrate… and drink some more. To watch the town come together every year at the beginning of summer is one of the many reasons why I love my hometown.
This summer sweater couldn’t be any cuter in my eyes. While most are all about those pineapples and lemons this season, I will be rocking lobsters. I love Lobster, It has been my favorite food for as long as I can remember. Do you like seafood? I am always blown away by the amount of people who say they have never tried it or don’t like it! I mean, have you ever had a lobster roll in a buttered bun, that’s living!!
When I put this summer sweater on for the first time, I knew I would be getting a lot of wear out of it! These lightweight, slouchy knits are my favorite. I paired it with my new white high-rise shorts and loved how it looked. This would be great thrown over a bathing suit as a cover up, or worn with jeans to a cookout!
Wooden Ships was foundered by a husband and wife in 1992. I loved reading all about their amazing story. These are so well made, and wooden ships is also curently selling Mother’s Day versions as well. Have you ever added a piece to your wardrobe that you know will get worn on repeat?? This is one of those pieces! I might be bias because I am from Gloucester … and Love Lobster. However, there is tons of great styles so make sure you check them out!
