Recently the temps have dropped and the blanket scarfs came out. Over the past 4 years I have accumulated quite a few, but I seem to always reach for the plaid ones. [Read more…]
I don’t know about you, but I love Old Navy! Old Navy always has great prices and you can almost always find a sale! Like right now, they are having 40% off for cardholders and 30% off for everyone; Use code THANKYOU at checkout. I always find affordable pieces that I reach for often. If you haven’t thought to shop at old navy lately, now is your time. These are some of my favorite pieces from the site, and I know I am going to have to order that velvet blazer. This blazer is an exact replica of a $300 dollar one I couldn’t take my eyes off of.
I just received an order in the mail today and was so happy wth my picks; the pixie pant in black was the perfect fit and length. (I usually order the petite length in old navy pants since I am 5’2) The petite sizing is one of the selling points when it comes to their Rockstar jeans, and pants. I had been on the search for the perfect medium wash denim jacket, and I believe I have FINALY, found it!! My third purchase that I’m so in love with, is a black flat suede OTK boot. Your probably thinking I don’t need another pair, but I reallyyyy needed a flat pair!
Im going to talk about basic tees real quick, then you can start shopping! Old navy has the best tee shop ever. Not only are they great tee shirts and fantastic basics for your wardrobe, but they come in every color, length, and style! So before all these great steals are gone, start shopping my stoppable links at the bottom of the page!! Happy shopping, you gorgeous people!

It is officially Fall. I don’t know if its a New England thing, but, as soon as the calendar hits September 1st it’s time to pull out your fall staples. We start wanting to pull out the sweaters, scarfs, and boots. The problem is if you live where I do, it is still 80 degrees some days. We aren’t going to let that stop us. Right now its all about transitioning over to fall. Everyone is eager to start wearing their favorite fall pieces, and its possible even on the warmer days. These few simple tips will help you look fall-ish in your favorite fall staples even when its 80 mid September!
Pull out your fall favorites, its time. Instead of dressing head to toe in your pieces, choose one. For instance, this look I created incorporated the OTK (over the knee) boot that i picked up at the #Nsale. I wore it with a simple denim skirt, and my all time Favorite tee. If you purchase one thing from this post, these lush tee shirts are amazing. This one is also on major sale right now!! Whether a great fall staple, or my favorite accessory its time to start dressing the part for fall.
Start bringing out the fall colors. Even if your clothes are still light and airy, start choosing seasonable colors. This fall, mauves, burgundy, shades of blue, warm taupes and grays are huge. In this post I am wearing a tee in a great fall color. Its a great basic and can pretty much be styled anyway. Fall fabric is great too! Whether a wool hat, suede skirt, or velvet choker which can be the perfect transitioning piece.
Fall is with a doubt, one of my favorite seasons to dress for. This outfit is simple and versatile. This denim skirt was super affordable at Forever 21. When the weather drops I can add a cardigan or bomber jacket. A denim skirt like this can transition into fall easy when paired with high boots. I was unsure if I would ever wear a denim skirt again, after the whole frayed denim mini skirt with Ugg boot epidemic! That was awful…….comment below if u know what I’m talking about, or was it just a Boston thing?
I know it’s Monday! How can we forget, the sleeping in, and hanging around is over. It is back to cubicles and paperwork. I figured this post would be perfect to remind you that nothing lasts forever, and the weekend will be here soon enough!
This season the sporty style is having a major moment. I love all the high fashion looks, but, lets get honest I’m a Mom! As much as I would like to look like I’m getting dressed to hit up New York Fashion Week, it’s unrealistic. Most days I’m going for “Playground Casual”, you haven’t heard of it? Well, it’s usually comfortable, worn out, and if u get pegged in the head with a baseball and fall down, you will be completely covered. Also my son is constantly taking off. A shoe I can take off running in, is always a plus.
That’s why I am loving the Sporty Style that is this season. If you don’t own a pair of cross trainers, whatcha waiting for?? I have been seeing a lot of trendy sweatshirts with tennis sneakers and I for one could not be happier. I love how easy leggings with sneakers and a great flannel tied around your waste can look. These looks are great for running errands, coffee dates, or family activities.
When my “weekend” sweatshirt arrived from Makemechic, I was so excited to throw a baseball cap on my day 5 hair….. Life happens! Grab my most comfortable leggings, and head out to the park with latte in hand. If you are like me and are totally Loving this style, I have linked these pieces. I have also added some other picks to help you out! Hope you girls have a great WEEK! Remember you are all beautiful both inside and out!

I know we are not even out of August yet and I am raving about boots, scarves, and pumpkin EVERYTHING!! I like summer don’t get me wrong, but fall, whats not to love! The weather is great and fall clothing is my absolute favorite. September just signifies a fresh, new start, which means new clothes ……right?! Since a budget is still important to me, I have become really good at transitioning my wardrobe from season to season without breaking the bank.
This cream lace dress is so feminine and cute, it wasn’t my favorite fit, but by adding the edgy leather jacket It helped accentuate my waist. These booties where purchased late last winter and cant wait to get more wear out of them! This jacket was one of my top #Nsale purchases and was such a steal during the sale, however it is still under $100 and comes in a few different colors. I am wearing the XS, I love the more fitted look I get with this size. Believe it or not, I grabbed this cream lace dress on Poshmark. I had sold a few pieces so this dress literally cost me nothing with my credit. If you have a closet full of clothes that you don’t wear, there are so many great consignment sites, I generally use Poshmark or thredUP
With all the great jackets, vests, cardigans, scarves, and hats, transitioning all your favorite summer pieces should be super easy come cooler temps. Let me know your favorite fall staples. It’s 80 degrees outside and I am sitting here drinking a pumpkin coffee (iced) dreaming of sweater weather, orchards and Bath & Body work Marshallow Fireside candle. All my living Life Pretty girls, I’m hoping to really become more constant with my blog. Thanks for being so awesome! Remember you are all BEAUTIFUL both Inside & out XO.
