We are without a doubt in the thick of summer! My makeup isn’t staying intact, and my hair is more often than not, a frizzy mess! We have changed our wardrobes, and should be doing the same with our summer foundations. Less is more when it comes to summer skin. I know there are times when we need that full coverage, believe me! However, we should be keeping it light for the most part.
Lets get honest, we all want to have flawless skin, look a decade younger, and have it stay put all day long!! Is that really too much to ask… I think NOT!! I can’t be the only one who hates when their face falls off before lunch, am I right?
With so many options from high-end to drugstore summer foundations, looking for the right one can become a daunting task. Who has unlimited hours, and money to spend trying to find the best options when it comes to sweat-proof summer foundations? It doesn’t have to be like that. I have narrowed down the best summer foundations for ALL skin types!
It Cosmetics CC+Cream = Received the Allure readers choice of 2017 so you know it’s a big deal. The CC+ cream foundation color corrects, while protecting your skin with SPF 50+ and is my fav summer foundation day or night. They also have an illumnating version if your all about that glow life. Guess what, It cosmetics has brought out a bunch of new shades too!
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua = Any foundation that has the words Chanel & Aqua in it, ya know it’s Fabulous! Aside from feeling great on the skin, it gives the most radiant finish and has light to medium coverage. Hyaluronic Acid maintains moisture and SPF 15 provides UVB protection. This fluid foundation has one of my favorite finishes. It leaves my skin hydrated and luminous.
Loreal Infallible Foundation Pro matte/Pro Glow = Ok, this drugstore foundation is under $13 and is amazing!! It comes in Matte for all you oily skin gals, and Glow if your dry and need that extra glow. I am sure you have heard all the great reviews. These claims to have 24 hour staying powder. This is in my top 5 drugstore foundations of all time.
Estee Lauder Double Wear = All of these foundations are great summertime options. However, if I had a summer wedding or a very important event this would be the one I reached for. Double wear is a 24 hour sweatproof foundation that has long staying power. I love that this doesn’t sit heavy on the skin, while still being full coverage.
Milk Sunshine skin Tint = This is my most recent foundation purchase. I was drawn to it, and am so happy I picked it up. With it’s SPF 30, hydration, and easy application this is perfect for easy summer days or quick touch ups between the pool and dinner. I love this formula, but think it would work best on dry – combination skin.
Perricome No Foundation Foundation serum = No foundation foundation is just what you think, it’s different! There are only two universal shades that you can darken with the no bronzer bronzer. This sweatproof foundation is also lightweight. The serum instantly softens imperfections and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles. Remember this is a lightweight, light-medium coverage foundation, so make sure you use a setting powder!
Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted moisturizer = Did you think I could talk summer foundation without mention of a BB cream? This comes in 20shades, SPF 20, has buildable coverage, natural looking finish and leaves you with the most flawless complexion. Everyone needs a BB cream in their summer makeup bag, and this should be it!
Boots No7 Stay Perfect Foundation = I was unsure of what foundation to put here, but I knew I wanted to stick with something breathable, lightweight, and amazing! Stay perfect foundation is sweatproof, weatherproof and transfer proof, along with a fan favorite among it’s users. Gotta love a sweatproof foundation in 100+ degree weather.
So who else is ready to put their best face forward? If you are blessed with oily skin, make sure to head to my best of 2016 to see what setting powder I recommend.
